Gautam Bambolkar from Ponda has been awarded ‘gold’ for his photography series ‘Man-Made Caves’ at The Paris Photography Prize (PX3) 2019. He bagged this award under the ‘Fine Art – Architecture’ category. The Paris Photography Prize (PX3), which is an annual event dedicated to recognising and promoting talented photographers received over 7,000 entries from 100 countries around the world. Gautam’s photographs, along with other winners, will be exhibited at the Espace Beaurepaire from July 9 to 14.
In 2017, Gautam won three awards at the Moscow International Fotography awards in Russia for which Goa Government then passed a Congratulatory Motion at Goa Assembly. As of today, he has won 21 international awards in the field of photography at international competitions held at Tokyo, Moscow, Paris, USA, Germany, and London. His works have been published by organisations such as National Geographic and The Karlsruhe Institute of Technology (KIT) in Germany. Gautam has done Bachelor of Fine Arts (Applied Arts) from Goa College of Art in 2007. He hails from Mahalaxmi-Bandora. He works as a manager for the IT giant ‘Cognizant’.
