Goa to take entire power feed from Western grid, no power shortage: Cabral

Goa government has decided to stop taking power supply from Sothern grid via Karnataka and draw its entire allocated power from the Western grid. Power Minister Nilesh Cabral has also said once again that Goa is not short of power, but it could stabilise only after expanding and strengthening its transmission network. He wants Goans to provide additional land for this all over.

Cabral on Monday released a White Paper on power situation in Goa. It highlighted the problem the seven sub-stations are facing as well as solutions worked out for improving transmission network.
