Goa pavilion inaugurated at India Trade Fair

Panaji: The Goa state pavilion setup at the 39th edition of India International Trade Fair was inaugurated at iconic Pragati Maidan in the national capital New Delhi on Thursday.

Speaker of Goa legislative assembly Rajesh Patnekar, inaugurated the Goa pavilion by cutting the ribbon in the presence of Swapnil Naik, Personal Secretary to Union Minister of State for Ayush, Meghana Shetgaonkar, Director of Information and Publicity (DIP), Darshana Narulkar, General Manager, Directorate of Industries, Trade and Commerce (DITC), Prakash Naik, Information Officer, DIP, Himanshu Patnekar, functional manager, DITC and members of the Goa Legislators’ forum.

The Goa pavilion is erected on an area of 56 sqm in 12 A – 05B at Pragati Maidan which is aesthetically designed depicting Goan architecture with the flavor of this year’s IITF theme “Ease of Doing Business” showcasing Goa as land of business opportunities.

After the inauguration, Patnekar evinced keen interest in the handicraft items displayed at the pavilion.

The inaugural ceremony was also attended by Members of Goa Legislators’ forum namely Victor Gonsalves, Mohan Amshekar, Sadanand Malik, Ulhas Asnodkar, Dharma Chodankar, Vishnu Prabhu, Jagdish
