VALPOI: Police have recovered a pet bottle containing a liquid with an unpleasant odour from the residence of Sneha Gaonkar who was arrested for the kidnap and murder of her niece Utkarsha Parab. It may be recalled that 16-year-old girl Utkarsha Parab was allegedly forcibly fed prasad laced with Ratol (rat poison) by her aunt Sneha Gaonkar after kidnapping her.
Speaking to ‘The Navhind Times’, the Deputy Superintendent of Police, Mr Bosquet Sliva informed that the bottle was found after searching Sneha Gaonkar’s house on Friday.
The investigating officer, PI, Mr Harish Madkaikar who is presently holding the charge of Valpoi police station said that since the bottle was found under the bed sheets and pillows, it cannot contain a soft drink.
Police also alleged that the accused is not co-operating in the investigations. Meanwhile, many persons who are directly or indirectly related to this case have also been interrogated. The five-month-old son of the accused is being taken care of by lady constables at the Valpoi police station.
