PANAJI: The crime branch investigating into the alleged sexual assault case against former Tehelka editor Tarun Tejpal is likely to file the charge-sheet on Monday.
It may be recalled that Tejpal was arrested last year on November 30, in connection with the alleged sexual assault on his junior colleague.
The investigating team has recorded several statements including that of former Tehelka managing editor Shoma Chaudhury.
Sources informed that there are over 100 witnesses in the case and the charge-sheet is in the process of finalisation.
Tejpal is presently lodged in Judicial Custody and his bail hearing is in the following week (High court).
Tejpal has also been booked by the Panaji police for threatening the Crime Branch investigating officer PI Sunita Sawant.
Recently the Goa police had booked an unknown person for disclosing the identity and intimidating the journalist who was allegedly sexually assaulted by former Tehelka editor Tarun Tejpal. The case was later transferred to cyber crime cell.
