In Panaji, the superintendent of police, special branch, Mr Atmaram Deshpande told the media persons that the police are still looking out for Mr Pacheco and added that an arrest warrant is not required to nab a criminal.
Mr Deshpande observed that police are sure that Mr Pacheco has not left the country as a lookout circular has been issued much before he could make any attempt to flee the country.
While replying to a query on the notary, Mr Deshpande informed that the notary could not have acted after the expiry of his practice permit as all the documents become null and void if he acts after the expiry of his term as notary.
The SP said if, need be, the crime branch would not hesitate to raid notary’s house again to locate him after getting specific information.
