BICHOLIM: The class XII students of Dnyanprakash Higher Secondary School, Mulgaon-Bicholim undertook the cleaning of the premises of a small temple, located atop Kasinath hill, at Sal near the Goa-Maharashtra border.
Thousand of devotees visit this temple during the Hindu month of Sravan to perform abhishekas on Shivlinga. During this time the place often gets littered with plastic bags, coverings of incense sticks around the temple premises, etc. In view of this, the students visited the temple and cleared the area of all litter.
The programme was organised especially to make the students aware of the importance of maintenance of historical monument and pollution control, said professor, Rajendra Kerkar. In all, 40 students participated in the drive.
