BICHOLIM: Refuting all the charges leveled against him, the Opposition Leader, Mr Manohar Parrikar said that he is ready to face all sorts of enquiries.
"Through enquires, the truth will come to light and the people of state will know the reality. I am always ready to face any enquires by the state government," Mr Parrikar stated.
He was addressing a public meeting of Bharatiya Janata Party workers at Sarvajanik Ganeshotsav hall, at Velgem-Bicholim. The state BJP president, Mr Laxmikant Parsekar, state yuva president, Dr Pramod Sawant, Ms Shubhada Savaikar, Mr Pandurang Sawant, panch, Mr Subhash Phondekar, Mr Shantaram Ghadi, Mr Vishvambhar Gawas, Mr Subhash Malikand and others were present on the dais.
Mr Parrikar said that he showed his readiness to face CBI enquiry pertaining to IFFI, but wonder as to why the Congress government is not willing to initiate CBI enquiry into drug case and other scandals.
He went on to say that during the BJP government’s tenure 14 bridges were built including Amona-Khandola bridge. Besides all the development works which were approved were undertaken and completed within the stipulated time frame, he added.
Kamat government has failed in fulfilling the demands of the people, he said citing examples of long-pending demands of people.
Mr Subhash Phondekar, panch, Mr Shamba Gaonkar, Mr Vishvambhar Gawas and Ms Shubhada Savaikar also spoke on the occasion.
