MAPUSA: The Anjuna PI Mr Manjunath Dessai on Wednesday morning arrested Prashant Janardhan Konadkar, aged 28, in the Anjuna shooting case. According to Mr Dessai, the accused had gone to the JMFC Court at Mapusa to surrender, but Mr Dessai arrested him outside the court.

Incidentally Mr Dessai had also gone to the court for some of his work. With the arrest of Konadkar, the number of persons arrested in the said case has gone up to seven.

Meanwhile a team of police led by PSI Anant Gaonkar and others from Anjuna has left for Mumbai to nab the alleged ‘supari killer’ as it is learnt that the killer could be from Mumbai. Further investigations are in progress.
