North Goa will be turned into a model district: Shripad

SANQUELIM: Stating that not a single village, town and city from North Goa would be left without development, North Goa MP, Mr Shripad Naik assured to make North Goa a model district in terms of development.

He made the remark while addressing a gathering after inaugurating the newly-constructed Siddheshwar Navdurga devasthan community hall at Surla-Bicholim on Sunday.

Mr Naik said that so far he has completed about 700 developmental projects with the help of MP fund and that some more projects, which are in progress, will be completed in a year or two.

Sanquelim MLA, Dr Pramod Sawant, ZP member, Mr Laxmikant Parab, BJP mandal president, Mr Santosh Malik, general secretary, Mr Pandurang Kuttikar, Surla sarpanch, Mr Mangaldas Usgaonkar, devasthan president, Mr Bharat Gaonkar, deputy sarpanch, Ms Suhasini Fondekar, panch members, Ms Manisha Tari, Mr Rameshwari Ghadi, Mr Sanjay Surlikar, Mr Bholo Khodginkar, Mr Ramdas Gawade and Mr Suryakant Jawade were present
amongst others.

Speaking on the occasion, MLA, Mr Sawant called upon people to make optimum use of the community hall. ZP member, Mr Laxmikant Parab, devasthan president, Mr Gaonkar, Mr Kaka Kelkar also spoke. Earlier, the plaque was unveiled at the hands of guests followed by the inaugural ceremony.
