PANAJI: The second session of the sixth assembly of the state would begin on Thursday. The session with 20 seatings of the House is expected to be the longest in the recent past, during which the government is expected to pass the full budget of the state.
According to information, the government would answer around 1,700 questions (both starred and non-starred) during the session and at least three to four new bills are expected to be tabled.
Besides, several other legislations would be amended.
The House would take up discussion on motion of thanks to the Governor’s address to the House during the brief budget session, on the first two days of the session. During the next three days, the House would hold general discussion on budget and the demands would be taken up for discussion in the next 15 days.
The assembly would also debate on private member bills and also private member resolutions. So far at least ten private member resolutions have been received by the legislature secretariat.
