MAPUSA: The chairman of Dynprasarak Mandal, Mr Shrikrishna Pokle was on Saturday felicitated on the occasion of his sixtieth birthday. The chairman of the Law Commission, Mr Ramakant Khalap who was the chief guest on the occasion lauded the efforts of Mr Pokle in improving the education scenario at the DMC College since the last six years.

Mr Khalap said that Mr Pokle’s family had a track record of doing great social service and this has been carried forward by Mr Pokle and he has not only excelled in his personal business but has also taken the DMC campus to new horizons by starting several new courses and putting in place a good infrastructure which Mr Khalap hoped would go a long way in bringing about a revolution in the educational sector at Assagao.

Mr Audhut Timblo who was also present as a chief guest recalled his association with Mr Pokle and said that he was a sincere and a dedicated person and he had had excelled in whatever he did. Stating that Mr Pokle has all along, been an inspiration to many people through his works and his contribution to society.

Mr Timblo urged Mr Pokle not to stop and to carry on with the good work he has been doing especially with regard to social upliftment and education. Mr Pokle on this occasion was also felicitated by the distinguished guests and members of the Vaishya Samaj. An auditorium dedicated to late Rukmini Tukaram Pokle was also inaugurated.
