MAPUSA: Campaigning came to a close for by-elections on Friday evening in three wards of Bardez, that are going to the polls on August 29.

All three wards are reserved for OBC. Ward 4 in Oxel, ward 3 in Verla-Canca and ward 7 in Revora, will be going to polls on Sunday. Bardez mamlatdar, Mr G Shankwalkar, when contacted said that elections will be held on Sunday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. and on Saturday all teams with election material and police will be deployed.

"One executive magistrate has been appointed and I will also be supervising the election," informed Mr Shankwalkar. Counting will be held on August 30, in the mamlatdar office.
