In order to make Calangute a tourism-friendly place and to attract more tourists, the infrastructure here should be good, he added.
“I have already given instructions that necessary illumination be provided and old lights be replaced with new and good quality lights. Sitting arrangement for tourists will also be improved. And, we are also in the process of improving the road network, which should be done within the next few months,” he said.
Mr Parrikar complimented the local MLA Mr Lobo and the panchayat, working hand in hand for the welfare of Calangute.
Mr Lobo in his speech outlined the various works that he has taken up and the works that are in the pipeline.
