MARGAO: The principal district and sessions judge, South Goa, Mr U V Bakre, on Friday, framed charges against four alleged accused, Dhananjay Asteker, Vinayak Patil, Vinay Talekar and Dilip Mangaonkar, arrested by the National Investigation Agency (NIA), in the Margao bomb blast case.

The NIA has arrested six persons in connection with the case and charge sheet has been filed against four of them. The NIA has yet to file a charge sheet against the other two, who were arrested recently.

The four are charge sheeted under Section 120B, 121 of IPC, and Section 16, 18 and 23, of Unlawful Activity Prevention Act-2008, and 3, 4 and 5 of Explosive Substance Act. Meanwhile, the prayer made by the accused to be lodged in the same jail cell will come up for hearing before the court on September 16.
