FC Goa’s soccer schools programme starts from Apr 16

PANAJI:  FC Goa has announced that the second edition of its soccer schools programme will start from April 16. The programme, created by India U23 Team coach Derrick Pereira, is a month-long curriculum introducing children to the sport and imparting specialised skills, states the press release issued by FC Goa. During the programme, the participants will get a chance to meet and interact with senior FC Goa players as well as getting customised FC Goa playing kits and merchandise, adds the press release.

 

Drishi Boys of Mayem win Mayem volleyball tourney

CHORAO: Drishi Boys of Mayem won the all Mayem constituency volleyball tournament, organised by Shri Vishnu Koroge Boys of Saude-Chorao and played at Vishnu ground, Chorao. In the finals played on Sunday, Drishi Boys, Mayem defeated Bhumika Boys of Karabhat-Chorao in straight sets 15-1, 15-7, 15-13. Winners were awarded cash prize of Rs 5,000 and trophy while runners-up had to be content with cash prize of Rs 3,000. In all 20 teams participated in the tournament.
