Rising Stars, CDJ Ribandar win
VELSAO: Rising Stars Sports Club defeated United Youth Club Bogmalo 3-1 in the GFA’s Second Division League match played at Velsao ground, on Sunday. Abhijit Chodankar, Shelton Fernandes and Vinayak Honavaikar scored for the winners while UYC Bogmalo managed to pull back one goal through Rama Malvankar.
Sarzora SC in semis
AMBELIM: Sarzora SC entered the semifinals of Lourdes Soccer Cup, organised by Ambelim Sports Club, defeating Don Bosco SC, Fatorda 3-2 here on Sunday. Sarzora led 1-0 at half-time with Ryan being the goal scorer. Crossing over, Hanslum Furtado levelled the score for Don Bosco off a header. Melito then gave Sarzora 2-1 lead while soon after Ashton struck to give his side a two-goal cushion. Don Bosco Fatorda kept trying till the final whistle and managed to pull another goal back through Hanslum, who secured his brace.
