Goa Institute of Training and Studies, conducted a two-month programme ‘IdeaSpark’ for class 1 to 7 students of The King’s School. The programme aimed at enhancing the creative quotient and propelling innovative instincts in young students.
IdeaSpark programme was divided into three levels with the growth focus being sequentially propelled by the design.
The programme covered topics including the right brain, opening mental locks, creativity answers for everyday life, limits to creativity for students, the answer surge, the play angle, widening interests, etc. The methodology for the programme was practical with exercises, team projects and individual assignments, creativity workouts, team games, group discussions, etc. The programme also included a unique IdeaSpark outing to help students think out-of-box in a different ambiance.
The outing included the CreativiteTeamChef where members innovated new dishes and displayed an openness to accept ideas from other team members.
In the valedictory function chairman of the King’s School, Melvin Pereira complimented students for their initiative. Director of the school, Ligia Pereira emphasised the importance and impact of creativity in several spheres of life. Director of GITS India Atul Shah delivered an overview of the programme design and urged parents to continue tapping creativity at all stages.
