GITS India conducted PeakSico, the talent and leadership development programme at 1930, Vasco, for 125 school students between the ages of 3 and 12 years from 17 schools. The contest was held in six cities, namely Vasco, Margao, Ponda, Panaji, Porvorim and Mapusa.
The programme was inaugurated by entrepreneur and philanthropist, Nitin Bandekar in the presence of director, GITS India, Atul Shah and 25 faculty members. In his address Bandekar urged the students to display their talents.
The event, which included Peak programme members from Goa, was aimed to build confidence, display creativity and generate higher interaction amongst the participants.
The Panaji centre won the most creative centre award. Margao centre was adjudged the most spirited award, Vasco won the most confident award, Porvorim centre won the most committed team award, Ponda won the most disciplined team award and Mapusa won the most talented team award.
There were five contests, namely, confidence fashion show, the teamwork Dance, the creative fake beat, the public speaking event and the unique slogan contest.
Kimberly Fernandes and Adrian Antao led the Margao team, Krupa Barot and Amita Jogle led Panaji, Kavita Arlekar and Malvika led Team Vasco, Saira Khan and Raniya led the Mapusa team, Nandish Wagle and Abhijeet Kavlekar led the Ponda team while Vrushali Amonker and Nisha led the Porvorim team.
