PANAJI: The government is committed to develop an export strategy that will benefit local exporters and help the state realise its export potential. The objective is to identify the potential export sectors; identify issues related to state govt agencies and also suggest measures to boost exports from the state.
The department of Commerce, government of India has taken a series of initiatives to mainstream states and union territories in the process of international trade. This is in line with the government of India’s goal to increase the share of global trade in India’s gross domestic product. The department is also helping state governments and union territories to prepare export strategies.
The state government is also in the process of formulating an export strategy for the state. Federation of Indian Exports Organization (FIEO), an organisation under Ministry of Commerce has been appointed by Ministry of Commerce as the nodal agency for formulation of export strategy for Bihar, Delhi, Goa, Karnataka, Telangana and Uttarakhand.
To formulate the export strategy for Goa, Federation of Indian Exports Organization has prepared an online survey in order to seek feedback from various stakeholders. The survey can be accessed on the link https://www.esurveycreator.com/s/FIEO_Survey.
Active participation is solicited from stakeholders including exporters, importers, Customs House agents, freight forwarders, transporters, export promotion councils, industries trade associations etc.
All the stakeholders may visit https://www.esurveycreator.com/s/FIEO_Survey and answer the survey. This will enable FIEO and the state government to develop an export strategy in line with the inputs from the stakeholders appealed by the directorate of Industries, Trade and Commerce.
