Flying start to Winger 15S on Goan roads

Tata Motors did the official launch of its passenger vehicle Winger 15S in Goa recently. The 15-seater vehicle is priced Rs 12.15 lakh (ex-showroom Goa ) for the AC variant and Rs 11.64 lakh (ex-showroom) for the non-Ac variant.

Bookings are open at the company dealership Nacinva Damodar Naik, at the Fatorda and Panjim outlets respectively. Response to the vehicle is good, according to the dealership. The demand is from transport operators and for staff transportation of local companies. “We have already received around 15 bookings and delivered around 11 vehicles since the vehicles India launch,”said Vilas Nayak, manager sales, Narcinva Damodar Naik,Fatorda. He explained that, the  new model 15S was on display in the showroom since December 2017 and open for bookings to customers.

The 15S is designed to offer extra luggage space along with the comfort of push back seats, individual AC vent and multiple USP charging points as new features, he said. The vehicle is available in air conditioned and non- air conditioned standard model.

By appearance, the vehicle is 5458 mm long and with bigger 15” tyres. The tyre wheel caps provide a stylish look to the vehicle and aid in improving the ground clearance to 180 mm. With an internal height of 1900mm/ 6.3”, the 15S offers ease of passenger movement. Additionally, the monocoque body construction ensures low levels of noise, insulation from vibration and harshness (NVH) along with anti-roll bars and hydraulic shock absorbers to ensure a bump-free ride.

In terms of performance, the new model is powered by 2.2 L Dicor engine providing top speed of 100km/hr and 190 nanometer of flat torque, which assures greater pulling power even at low revolutions per minute. Giving the commercial vehicle a car like feel is its front axle drive feature that offers low noise vibration harness (NVH). The front axle drive also ensures lower weight, better traction and reduced transmission loses.

According to Tata Motors, the new model is especially developed for the tour and travel segment with winning combination of style, space, comfort and safety. The vehicle is designed taking into account India’s rapid urbanization, traffic congestions and environmental concerns. The model also offers economics for the operator. It is backed with an extended warranty of three years or three lakh kms (whichever is earlier) making it one of the most reliable and trustworthy vans in its segment. “We are confident that our product will be popular in Goa, amongst large families, businesses and shuttle operators,” said Sandeep Kumar, head sales and marketing, passenger vehicle business unit, Tata Motors in a press statement.
