FC Goa has signed Senegalese central defender Mourtada Fall to strengthen its defense which was a sore point of last season. FC Goa had taking scoring goals to another level and the good work was undone by the goals concede during the last edition of Indian Super league (ISL) .
FC Goa conceded 28 goals in eighteen games –an average of more than a goal per game – and scored 42 goals.
The 6ft 3inch African is a valuable addition to Sergio Lobera’s men and will provide much needed strength and height in the Gaurs’ back line, says a press release issued by FC Goa media.
Mourtada, according to the FC Goa press release, played under FC Goa coach Sergio Lobera at some point of his career.
Mourtada is known for his ability to react quickly to make tackles and dispossess opposition forward players. Additionally, he can pass the ball out of defense and start counter-attacks for his team, aiding in a number of goals for the various teams he has played for throughout his career, reads the press release.
Mourtada, according to Wikipedia, played thrice for his country.
