International eyewear brand, Coco Leni debuted in the Goa market with the launch of four stores in Caranzalem, Vasco, Mapusa and Margao. The brand is also being retailed from a popup wood cart at 1930, Vasco.
A German brand, Coco Leni is special because it makes eyeglasses that don’t harm the environment and look awesome as well. According to the company, the luxury eyewear is made out of environment-friendly materials like bamboo, wood, cellulose acetate, genuine horn which is ethically sourced and sustainable. Furthermore, all the brand stores are environment friendly as well with the retail outlets made out of natural materials.
“We use recycled and sustainable materials to create our exclusive collection of eyewear that includes specs and sunglasses. Our approach is to protect the environment. That’s why we use a part of our profit to do beach cleanups, awareness campaigns and persuade local government to stop using plastics. As a step towards Go Green our company never uses any plastic to make the eyeglasses or while building our retail stores across the world,” said the official release.
“Our designs are not merely the creation of an attractive product, but we consciously make an effort to make our product environmentally friendly. The mission is to deliver premium quality eyewear using the best possible natural materials. Every piece is made by skilled artisans to bring collections that exhibit their passion,” the release added.
Coco Leni is planning to open over 100 stores across India. Currently four stores are opened in Goa as well as one each in Pune and Pondicherry.
