The 3rd session of the Readers Club of Don Bosco College organised by the department of Mass Media was held on January 18. The chief guest was poet and an award winning novelist, Ramesh Veluskar. Also present were manager, Fr Wilfred Fernandes, and the department co-ordinator Mithun Chaudhari. Pakhhi Bannerjee and Nicole Remedios recited poems on ‘memories’. This was followed by a discussion. Supriya Gawade recited Veluskar’s poem ‘Shir shir Noumbra’.

Veluskar brought out the essence of the poem and the word play used in it. He said that one doesn’t need to search for words while writing poetry, but is a matter of choosing the right word. A poem brings words to life. He recited a couple of his poems and the inspiration behind composing each of them. The session concluded with faculty Avril Antao proposing the vote of thanks.
