Eighty six year old Mr Menino Barbosa  is being helped by his relative and a friend to the polling booth at Chicali-Agapur in the Marcaim constituency.

Mr Barbosa was very excited about voting in spite of the fact that he was unable to walk. “I desperately want to cast my vote,” he said, adding that he had been in-charge of the Opa water treatment plant of the Public Works Department, many years ago.  “I am very happy that I am able to carry out my democratic right,” he added.
