HDFC Bank-Curchorem Cacora civic body launch online payment gateway

PANAJI: HDFC Bank has partnered with Curchorem Cacora Municipal Council to set up an online payment gateway for the residents of Curchorem Cacora city. Residents of Curchorem Cacora will now be able to make payments for 14 different types of services online in a quick and convenient manner, by any debit card, credit card, or net-banking facility, from the comfort of their homes or offices. All fees and charges for the following services can be made on the website of directorate of municipal administration (Govt of Goa) https:/lgoaulbservice.gov.in/. “At HDFC Bank, we feel privileged to be chosen as a partner for this initiative. This is a big step in the evolution of the payment mechanism for services provided by Municipal Council in the state and will help fast-track payments,” said circle head – Goa, HDFC Bank Ajit Dalvi. CSR initiative: MPT offers 2 set of PCs to Vasco police station

VASCO: The Mormugao Port Trust as part of their Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiative had offered two sets of personal computer’s (PC) to the Vasco police station. The MPT trustee Niazi Shaikh handed over two Lenovo make desktop PCs with Windows 10 operating system, two UPS and one HP printer to the Vasco PI Nolasco Raposo which would facilitate the police in their day to day working. The acting chief mechanical engineer S K S Hegde, assistant secretary (PR) Sebastiao Coutinho and J Niall Fernandes were present on the occasion. The Vasco PI Raposo expressed his gratitude to the MPT chairman I Jeyakumar for providing PC’s to the Vasco police station. NT

TUV Rheinland partners with Gooee for lighting manufacture

PANAJI: TUV Rheinland and Gooee, a US-based enterprise scale IoT platform and ecosystem developer, have agreed upon a far-reaching, three-year collaboration at LUXLIVE in London, one of the world’s largest lighting industry events. Gooee plans to engage the global testing services provider to examine its portfolio of products and services for data protection and data security requirements. The tests will be based on the criteria prescribed by TUV Rheinland’s certificates “Protected Privacy IoT Product” and “Protected Privacy IoT Service”, which are part of TUV Rheinland’s data protection and data security portfolio. “We are delighted to engage with Gooee with our certification program, which gives us the opportunity to make a valuable contribution to the IoT industry in terms of data protection and security,” said Udo Scalla, head of the IoT Privacy Global Competence Center at TUV Rheinland. NT

Golden Tulip celebrates Children’s Day

PANAJI: As a part of the CSR initiative, Golden Tulip celebrated Children’s day on November 14, by inviting underprivileged children from an orphanage, namely ‘Care & Compassion, Goa’ wherein the children spend a day at the hotel.

It was a day outing for the children wherein they were entertained with lot of activities including games, dance, music, food, splash in the pool etc organised by the Golden Tulip management. “The celebration of this day with the children was a part of the corporate social responsibility (CSR) of the resort. We reminded the children that even though they may feel underprivileged, they are special in many ways. We want them to feel good about the event. Children are our country’s greatest resource and we are proud to be associated with them,” said general manager Golden Tulip, Pankaj Dubey. NT

Flea market at Caculo Mall opens today

PANAJI: A two-day flea market will be opened from November 18 to November 19 at Caculo Mall. The event is organised by ‘Out of the box’ wherein 17 stalls will be displayed which includes food stall, tattoo artists, mehendi artist, home decor, beauty products, accessories, clothing, stationery, entertainment, fun and music. A fashion designer will also display products and pre-Christmas shopping items, homemade chocolates will also be available. The event is organised with a view to encourage young and new entrepreneurs such as students, housewife,  small business ladies including businessmen from Mumbai, Karnataka and other states. NT
