6-day Pretty Home expo opens in Canacona

PANAJI: The Pretty Home expo is underway at Shree Mallikarjun Devalaya ground, opposite collector office, Chaudi Canacona and will be open until August 15 from 11 am to 8.30 pm. The councillor of Canacona municipality Chaya Komarpant inaugurated the expo on Thursday. The organiser of the expo Pooja Kankonkar said, “Pretty Home has become a leading brand of exhibitions in Goa over the years.” More than 120 stalls of consumer products are present at the expo with a wide variety to choose from for the visitors. There is no fee for entry / parking for this exhibition. This year the number of stalls is double of what it was in the past leading to many new business opportunities. The product range comprises of home appliances, furniture, computers, fashion items, clothes to electronics and gadgets. NT

Shriram Life Insurance bags ‘best practices in data warehousing’ award

MUMBAI: Shriram Life Insurance (SLI) company’s warehouse department was announced as the winner in ‘Best Practices in Data Warehousing’ at the Big Data & Analytics Awards 2017.  This award was received during the Big Data & Analytics and Insights summit convened by Kamikaze, at Bangalore recently. The award was announced after thorough evaluation of nominations on a 5-point parameter by the core jury members after personally getting in touch with each of the nominees and a careful study of the documents submitted by the nominees.  VP operations Atul Sharma accompanied by head of admin Vinay Kumar and head of operations process quality R Srinivas Rao was presented the award by Archana Priyadarshini, partner, Unicorn India Ventures and Nitin Goyal, head, Big Data COE British Telecom. NT
