Sesa Sterlite wins Asian CSR Leadership Award
PANAJI: Sesa Sterlite Ltd, a subsidiary of Vedanta Resources Plc, and the Vedanta group and one of the world’s largest global diversified natural resources company, with operations across zinc, lead, silver, oil and gas, iron ore, copper, aluminium and commercial power, has won the award in the community development category of the Asian CSR Leadership Awards. The award was presented recently at the Taj Palace in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. Sesa Sterlite Ltd has globally benefited 4.1 million people in FY 2014 through their community-development initiatives. Sesa Sterlite, along with its group companies has invested, in India, approximately ` 300 crore in FY 2014 for building hospitals, schools and infrastructure and providing employment and community programmes which improve health, education and livelihood of over 3.4 million people. Gawali appointed HPCL’s marketing director
PANAJI: Y K Gawali has been appointed director of marketing of Hindustan Petroleum Corporation Ltd (HPCL) by the Union government and took his charge on October 10. Gawali is an engineering graduate in Civil and commenced his career in HPCL in 1982. He brings with him a wide range of experience in the petroleum industry spanning over 32 years in various fields ranging from LPG, operations, distributions, pipelines and projects. Prior to taking over as HPCL director of marketing, Gawali was heading the LPG SBU as executive director, LPG. NT
