The Goa State Co-operative Bank Ltd through its Financial Literacy Centre (FLC) – North conducted its dFLAP (digital Financial Literacy Awareness Programme) camp at Shree Kuldevata Brahmanimaya Sabagraha, Shree kuldevi Kuldevata Brahmanimaya Sabagraha Devasthan, Kudchirem, Bicholim recently.
Around 40 people attended the FLC camp which included the members of self help groups and individuals from village Kudchirem.
The branch manager, Goa State Co-op Bank Ltd Rajesh Dhond, FLC counselor Sudesh K Nagvenkar, FLC staff Chandranand Naik, branch staff Sudesh Chandroji and Sadanand Naik were also present during the function.
Sudesh Nagvenkar apprised about the importance of saving money and opening of savings account, reasons for investments and about the bank schemes through slides / video clippings. He also explained about the social security schemes Pradhan Matri Jan Dhan Yojana, Pradhan Mantri Jeevan Jyoti Bima Yojana (PMJJBY), Pradhan Mantri Suraksha Bima Yojana (PMSBY), Atal Pension Yojana (APY), Janashree Bima Yojana (JBY) and NRLM schemes for women self help groups.
Nagvenkar appealed the people to enroll themselves under PMJJBY, PMSBY, APY, and take benefit of the schemes of the bank and informed about cashless Society and Sim Se Pay by Goa State Co-op Bank Ltd and also shown the videos on IMPS, NEFT, RTGS and digital banking.
He also informed about different types of accounts, need for savings, why / how to use the services provided by the banks, etc.
Dhond informed about the benefit of bank’s loan schemes and appealed the people to avail the facilities provided by the bank to increase their socio-economic status.
Earlier, Chandranand Naik welcomed the dignitaries and Sudesh K Nagvenkar proposed the vote of thanks.
