DBCA Sulcorna organises interesting session for women

As a part of Rural Agriculture Work Experience (RAWE) programme, students from the Phoenix group of Don Bosco College of Agriculture (DBCA), Sulcorna, namely, Andrea Cheradil, Maria Joby, Veena Gaonkar, Vipra Rane and Sanjana Priolkar conducted a demonstrative session on ‘Value Addition of Fruits and Milk’ for the Zambaulim Mahila Mandal under the guidance of Subject Matter Specialists – Gouresh Karanjalkar, Harshal Wadatkar, programme officer, Jovita Sequeira, RAWE coordinator Rakesh Kawale  and director of DBCA Sulcorna, Alwyn D’Souza sdb.

The objective of the demonstration was to educate women on the value addition of fruits and milk as well as to encourage them to become entrepreneurs and generate incomes. A total of 21 women participated in the programme. The women were also taught them how to prepare fruit jam, and make paneer and basundi from milk.
