Curchorem block fetes Tendulkar on being elected as Rajya Sabha MP




The newly-elected Rajya Sabha Member of Parliament of BJP Vinay Tendulkar was felicitated by Curchorem block, Curchorem women and youth committee at Sarvodaya High School Hall, here.

After the gathering was welcome by block president Ashok Naik, the MP Tendulkar was felicitated at the hands of noted doctor Sonu Kamat.

Speaking on the occasion, the state executive committee member Ashish Karmali narrated how Vinay Tendulkar rose up to the present position from the grassroots level.

Dr Kamat said that the parents picked a befitting name Vinay, which means humility. Vinay rose to become a MLA, then a minister and now a MP, Dr Kamat added.

Replying to the felicitation, Tendulkar said that “I assure maximum MP fund will be utilised for development of Curchorem constituency.”

“Though I have risen to this post, I still have my feet on the ground and will always remain so,” he added.

Earlier, block president Ashok Naik welcomed, Rajendra Vast compered the programme and MLA Nilesh Cabral proposed the vote of thanks.
