Mapusa: Under the banner of ‘Cool Camp,’ a two-day workshop was organised by Ganeshpuri Sports and Cultural Club for the children in the age group of 7-13 years. The children were imparted training in dance, art, yoga and certain games.
On the first day of the workshop, children were introduced to rugby, and also to fitness dance form ‘zumba.’
Even traditional Goan games like ‘tablaani’, ‘tiktem’ and ‘guyani’ were also introduced. Also drama classes were conducted by Ganeshpuri Natak Group.
On the second day, the children were informed about the importance of yoga in daily life and taught some ‘asanas.’
Besides, lessons in yoga, the children were introduced to music and art and craft.
On the concluding day, participants were given certificates at the hands of chief guest Ramchandra Prabhu and councillor Sanjay Mishal.
