Although the state government might have planned installation of digital meters and global positioning system device on taxis to prevent fleecing of tourists and passengers by cabbies, the tourist taxi owners are vehemently opposed to the idea and have threatened not only to block the process at all cost but have also alleged a scam in the introduction of the devices.
