Maharashtravadi Gomantak Party legislator Sudin Dhavlikar resigned as Transport minister on Thursday following the direction of the central committee of his party. The MGP MLA sent his resignation to the speaker of the assembly Pratap Singh Rane and cleared the path for an alliance with the  Bharatiya Janata party ahead of the assembly elections.
