opposition leader pratap singh rane proposed to amend the article 2068 of the Portuguese civil code and to delete the word male from the article so as to consider women also as the administrator of the property, which according to him is discriminatory to women. Agreeing with him, chief Minster Manohar Parrikar assured the house that his government will treat a girl and a boy equally and that if an  amendment does not adversely affect other sections, then the law department will do the needful probably.
