Health Minister Vishwajeet Rane on Wednesday carried a surprise inspection of the new district hospital at Mapusa ahead of its partial opening scheduled on Thursday. The visit was to assess virtual ground preparation for the hospitals formal inauguration. Out Patient Departments of medicine and pediatric departments would be opened at the new hospital premises, which is left without use for 2 years and the minister is determined to start the other facilities before the beginning of the new year.
