Workers affiliated to central trade unions on Tuesday went on a day-long industrial strike across the country to protest against price rise, alleged violation of labour laws and disinvestments in public sector units  disrupting normal life and Industrial services in the state. The workers participating in the strike expressedf their anger against price rise, retrenchment, underpayment, poverty and many of the economic policies of the United Progressive Alliance government at the centre. The impact however was not much in goa.
