One of the doyens of Konkani literature and Gnyanpeeth awardee Ravindra Kelekar breathed his last at a private hospital in Margao on early Friday morning. Kelekar 85 who was admitted to the hospital on the 18th of August remained in the ICU till his last. Mourning the death of the eminent writer, the Goa government has declared Saturday as a public holiday. Kelekar’s  funeral will be be held on Saturday afternoon. State government has announced a guard of honour.
