This year’s ‘Gomant Vibhushan’ award, the highest award presented to any Goan by the  Goa Government,  was conferred on Dr. Anil Kakodkar, the eminent  nuclear scientist and the former chairman of the Atomic Energy Commission of india and ex- Director of Bhabha Atomic Research Centre, for his achievement and contribution in the field of science and technology on Saturday at Kala academy. The award comprises a cash prize of five lakh rupees, a memento and a citation.
