Even as the Goan beaches grapples with the tar balls, the Coast Guard ruling out the suspected oil spill has said they are well equipped to combat oil spill disasters so that it could not affect the ecology. Commander of the Goa Coast Guard district has however not ruled out the dump of the industrial waste behind the invasion of the tar balls on the Goan beaches.
