Stating that “despite having some issues with the coalition partners” in the party-led state government, South Goa MP Narendra Sawaikar, on Friday, said that the coalition government has delivered development-oriented governance for the last two years in the state.
Sawaikar said that he is quite confident that all the alliance partners will come together, sit together and work together for the victory of BJP candidates contesting from South and North Goa Lok Sabha seats.
He was speaking to the media after kicking off the election campaign in the Mormugao taluka after seeking blessings of Lord Damodar in Vasco, in the presence of Vasco MLA Carlos Almeida, Vasco BJP president Rajendra Dicholkar, former chairman of Mormugao Municipal Council Deepak Naik, councillors Yatin Kamurlekar, Reema Sonurlekar besides Jayant Jadhav, Umesh Salgaonkar, Santosh Kerkar, Anil Chopdekar and others.
“The government in the state was formed under the leadership of Chief Minister Manohar Parrikar. The coalition partners have joined hands for the development of the state. In the coalition, there may be some issues, but we have been able to resolve them. For the last two years we have given stable and development- oriented governance to the people of Goa, and due to which I am quite confident that all the alliance partners will come together, sit together and work together for the victory of both the BJP candidates,” said Sawaikar.
He further said that the South Goa has witnessed major development works in form of projects like IIT, NIT, Khandepar and Galgibag bridges, four lane highway connecting MPT and missing link at Verna due to the support rendered by the Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Chief Minister Manohar Parrikar.
