PANAJI: Ending the row over the alleged misuse of the email account, Chief Minister Manohar Parrikar on Monday clarified that he himself, and nobody else, sent emails to his secretary, conveying his approvals to various decisions.
Speaking to media persons at the Secretariat, Parrikar said that during his stay in the US, he was in touch with the state administration for all decision-making process, except for 10 to 15 days.
He said the decisions that were taken in his absence in the state administration had been conveyed to him through emails. He in turn had granted approvals to the same.
“The emails regarding approvals to various decisions pertaining to the state were sent by me only to my secretary,” he maintained.
The Congress had filed a police complaint claiming that someone could be misusing the email account of the Chief Minister as he was admitted to a US hospital and was not in a condition to use any smart device.
