Goan and Portuguese cuisine, dance, music and camaraderie were all around at the tenth edition of Semana da Cultura Indo Portuguesa (Goa) that was celebrated at the Food and Music Festival, at Taleigao Community Centre.
The two-day cultural event witnessed Goan musicians perform while guests enjoyed Portuguese and Goan delicacies like Pastéis de Bacalhau, Cabidela, Sorpotel, Xacuti, Sannas, Bacalhau com Natas, Empadinhas and Apa de Camarão.
The cuisine was crafted by a team of chefs from establishments in Goa, namely, Fernando’s Nostalgia, Viva Panjim, O’Coqueiro, Kokni Kanteen, 7 Bakes de Goa, Cazulo and Madame Rosa. An array of feni cocktails were created by Cazulo and Madame Rosa.
Music performances included a group performance by Gavana, Sheldon Goes Solo, Rapsodia Boemia, Valentinos and Cascades, Zezinho and group, Trio Harmonique featuring Omar, Ester Noronha and Archies.
The tenth edition of the Semana da Cultura Indo Portuguesa (Goa) celebrated the rich cultural flavours of the two nations.
