MARGAO: The South Goa recorded over 80 per cent voting on the polling day, slightly more than what was registered during the last assembly elections held in the year 2007.
VASCO: The Deputy Inspector General of Police, Mr Ravindra Yadav, on Saturday, informed that the Vasco police inspector (PI), Mr Francisco Corte, has been placed under suspension, pending enquiries against him, with immediate effect in view of using abusive language against the scribes of electronic and print media while handling a tense situation at Chhotta Bazaar in Baina.
