Atala has violated bail conditions: Crime Branch

PANAJI: Deputy Superintendent of Police, Crime Branch, Mr Chandrakant Salgaonkar on Tuesday refused to declare the alleged drug peddler from Israel, Yaniv Benaim alias Atala as absconder but confirmed that he was not available at the address, which he had furnished to the Court at the time of getting bail.

Police trying to sabotage investigation in drug case: BJP

PANAJI: Alleging that the Goa police are trying to sabotage the investigation in the drug case linked to the Israeli drug dealer, Yaniv Benaim alias Atala, in order to cover up someone, the Bharatiya Janata Party on Tuesday said that the disappearance of the notorious drug trader is evidence to the fact that Goa police cannot investigate the matter properly, and hence the police-drug traders nexus allegations must be probed by the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI).
