Pre-monsoon rains lash Goa

MARGAO: Heavy pre-monsoon showers, accompanied by thunder and lightning, lashed the state on Sunday night. The showers that lasted for more than an hour resulted in flooding in many parts of the state, power failure, uprooting of trees as well as some minor accidents due to slippery road conditions.

Velim gram sabha resolves to fine tax defaulters

Goa sees all-time high of 820 charter flights

PANAJI: All the past records as regards to arrival of foreign tourists in the state have been broken in the ongoing tourist season, which saw around 820 charter flights as against 626 in the previous year, an all-time high, arriving in the state with nearly 1.61 lakh tourists till April 8. The state had received 752 charter flights (previous best) in 2006-07.
