FDA officials destroy seized mangoes

VASCO: The officials of the Food and Drugs Administration (FDA) destroyed the seized 12.5 tonne of artificial ripened mangoes with the assistance provided by the Mormugao Municipality at Mormugao Solid Waste (MSW) Treatment Plant at Headland-Sada on Saturday morning.

State given ultimatum over NH 4A alignment

PONDA: The Diversion National Highway 4A Action Committee, Goa, on Saturday gave an ultimatum to the state government to re-survey and re-align the highway without affecting the villages of Dharbandora, Usgao, Curti, Priol and Bhoma and their culture, by July 19, before the start of monsoon session of the state Legislative Assembly. The meeting was held at the Savitri hall, Curti Ponda.
