Heavy rains throw life out of gear in Goa

PANAJI: Incessant rains accompanied by gusty winds lashed the state on Saturday. People throughout the state were put to hardships due to the rains. Normal life was thrown out of gear due to water-logging, falling of trees and mudslides. Though the rains led to destruction of properties, no casualty was reported from any part of the state.

Cabinet accepts report on HSRP

PANAJI: The state cabinet on Friday accepted the report of the committee headed by the Chief Secretary, Mr Sanjay Kumar Shrivastava, on the High Security Registration Plates and directed the Chief Secretary to take further action in accordance with the law in terminating the agreement.
