BBV organises Bal Anand Melava

Bal Bharati Vidyamandir, Ribandar organised Bal Anand Melava for students of class 4. In her speech headmistress of the school Apolonia Fernandes highlighted the importance of Bal Anand Melava. Students were divided in groups and given an opportunity to participate and learn the different activities through sessions conducted by resource teachers. Music was taught by Shridhar Garde and Rohit Patekar, flower making by Kavita Chari, drawing by Avinash Virnodkarr and clay modelling by Premanand Khumbhar.

 

Shreyash wins gold medal in Kumite

Student of People’s Higher Secondary School, Shreyash Virnodkar was awarded a gold medal in individual Kumite event at the fourth Goa Open All India Karate Championship organised by the World Funakoshi Shotokan Karate organisation.

 

MES HSS organises annual prize distribution ceremony

“When you get the opportunity take it,” said deputy director of Education (South Education Zone), Uday Gaunker, to the student community while speaking as the chief guest at the Annual Prize Distribution Ceremony of Murgaon Education Society’s Higher Secondary School, Zuarinagar. Gaunker further reinstated that determination is essential for a student and he also felt that teachers should be all-rounder’s not just good at their own subject.  President of the Annual Prize Distribution Ceremony, Prashant Joshi urged students to excel not just in academics but there are a whole lot of opportunities awaiting them especially in the field of sports.  On the occasion, principal of MES Higher Secondary School, YL Rao presented the school report that informed of students excelling in at not just the state level but even at the international level. Rankers and outstanding achievers were honoured at the hands of the guests.

 

St Joseph’s High School emerge north zone champions  at the Baby league football tournament

St Joseph’s High School, Arpora defeated Cunchelim Sports Club 3-1 during a tie breaker and were declared champions at the north zone at the Baby league football tournament organised by FC Goa at Sangolda ground. Yug Palyekar was awarded emerging player of the tournament. The team was coached by FC Goa coach, Inas Madeira and physical education teacher, Amarnath Kolwalkar.
