MUMBAI: Vasco Data Security International Inc, a software security firm, has launched DIGIPASS 831, a new edition of its smart-card reader now with replaceable batteries.

It holds a larger display (25 per cent bigger) and an improved user interface. It meets the need of banks who want to comply with new ecological policies and regulations to reduce their ecological footprint. DIGIPASS 831 will be available from the first quarter of 2011, said a company press release.
